CHAPTER 182: A GENUINE CONNECTION
Zack paced the cave, which was now a hideout for men who were loyal to Drakon. They'd just come back from searching for Elara, and it felt to him as though they had not searched well enough.
He'd asked the men to prepare for another search the next day, but Drakon had overruled him.
"Drakon, what do you mean we can't go out and look for Elara? She's out somewhere and probably in danger." Zack stopped pacing before Drakon, who was sharpening his sword on a stone. "We've barely even scratched the surface." His voice was tight and frustrated.
"Zack, the full moon is tomorrow," Drakon said without looking up. "We will need every one of our wolves to be better rested and prepared for an eventual attack from the shadow wolves."
Zack tightened his jaws, his face hardening. "And what if she's in danger right now? What if she's somewhere waiting for us to come save her?"
