CHAPTER 164: WRONG SPELLS
Shirley lay motionless on the floor while Dahlia and Zack circled her. Shirley was breathing but was inconsistent as she kept having immediate hiccups.
"Give her some room," Dahlia said, shoving Zack off while she stood up.
Shirley's body had entirely gone white, not that she was dead, but her body now glowed like the crescent moon. This terrified Dahlia, and she began considering whether this was a safe option for Shirley. Dahlia carefully followed the steps to the spell but was shocked to see how Shirley was reacting to it. This was way more than she'd expected from the spell.
"What's going on with her? Is she okay?" Zack asked, peering over.
"Her body is fighting off the spell," Dahlia said, holding Shirley's hand.
"What does not even mean?"
"It means what she is carrying is way bigger than the spell. That's why she seems to be in and out of breath," Dahlia explained.
