Dahlia's eyes fluttered open, her breath hitching as she was enveloped in darkness. The room was cold, a chill that sent chills into her bones. She blinked rapidly, trying to adjust her eyes to the absence of light. A faint sound reached her ears, and she realized she wasn't alone.
