CHAPTER 121: VISIONS
Shirley watched the wolf up ahead. It was vast and furry, with claws that were longer than usual. It wasn't the first time she saw it, but each time felt different. The wolf was growling, mercilessly ripping at the earth with its claws.
Shirley's heart pounded because everything about the wolf triggered every sense of danger in her. Soon, more and more of them emerge from the woods. They looked depraved and bloodthirsty. Just then, the enormous wolf that Shirley had been watching spins around and howls at her, baring its fangs. As it howled, the full moon up in the sky glowed brighter.
Shirley shrieked when the creature suddenly turned, revealing that long metal spikes had been hammered through in place of its eyes, leaving them blind.
Shirley gasped and woke up panting. She glanced around her room and finally exhaled when she confirmed she was alone. She'd had the nightmare again, and it left her shaken for a few seconds.
