"You lying to me?" Zane's voice turned icy. "Seems like you need a lesson to understand how serious Mr. Lee is."
With a swift motion, Zane kicked Cannie, sending him crashing to the floor with a pained cry. Clutching his chest, Cannie struggled to kneel again.
"Mr. Lee, I swear I'm not lying! I really admire you!" he gasped, fear gripping his heart at the thought of them discovering his ties to Percy Silverthorne.
"You're a tough one, aren't you? If you came clean, you'd spare yourself some pain. But if I have to spell it out for you, that's a different story. I'm giving you one last chance," Zane said sharply, eyeing him coldly.
Cannie's mind raced. He couldn't confirm if Zane knew about his connection with Percy Silverthorne. Yet, revealing it could mean severe consequences from Percy, who was known for his ruthless methods.
Finally, Cannie decided to stick to his story: "Mr. Lee, I'm not lying. I did all this hoping to follow you someday!"
