Logan had lived for 31 years, but this was his first time eating such a cheap pudding. He couldn't believe Lorraine was complaining about how the price had doubled. She even asked him, "Is it good?"
What could he say? He nodded.
"Let's eat these in the future whenever we get cravings for ice cream. Those are much too expensive these days," she said.
Logan rubbed Finnegan's head before saying, "We don't have to scrimp on food, you know. It's either we go without it or we go for the best."
That was how Lorraine had been in the past, but now that she knew how costly it was for the children to go to kindergarten, she wanted to be frugal. It was the only way they'd be able to afford to raise the twins.
"Anyway, it's fine to have ice cream once in a while. They're still young, so we can't let them have too much of these things. We don't want to damage their stomachs," Logan said.
