Lorraine felt a pang in her heart and hugged Luna. "It's my fault. I'll keep my promise next time, Lulu. Please don't cry. It breaks my heart to see you cry. Even if I don't want your dad, I'd never leave you."
Logan stepped in front of Lorraine and pulled over a chair to sit down. He held Finnegan in his arms and added, "The four of us will stay together as a family."
He muttered in a raspy voice, "You can't just take the kids and leave me behind, Lorraine. If you want me gone, at least let me clear things up."
Lorraine didn't say a word. She held Luna close without sparing Logan a glance.
Logan glanced at the table. The seafood was all gone. Even though there was still some beer left, a few bottles had already been emptied.
Logan also noticed Lorraine's rosy cheeks and remembered that she always turned red whenever she drank.
Sonia changed the subject. "Hello, Mr. Moore. You and the kids haven't eaten yet, right?"
"Not yet."
"Just stay here for a while. I'll grab some takeout
