The next morning, when Zelda came downstairs, Damian was already seated on the couch. It was still early, and the sunlight outside wasn't too strong. He sat with his back against the window, and the sunlight shone down on him from the side.
Damian was dressed in a white shirt, with the top two buttons undone, revealing his delicate collarbone. He held a cup of coffee with one hand and sipped from it softly, while his other hand busily scrolled through his phone with his gaze fixed downward.
Hearing Zelda come down the stairs, he lifted his head slightly.
The sunlight fell perfectly on him, creating a soft glow around him and making him look like a divine figure.
Zelda realized she had been staring at him too intently. Feeling embarrassed, she gave a light cough and quickly averted her gaze. "So... when are we heading out?" Her words came out with a bit of a stutter.
Damian glanced up casually. "Have breakfast first. We'll leave after you're done."
