After setting down the drink, he retrieved a project proposal from his briefcase and placed it on the table. "I've been thinking of setting up an accounting firm and am looking for a suitable partner. Have a look at this proposal and see if you're interested in joining." Seeing the project proposal on the table caused a surge of warmth to rise within Amelia. She knew he was doing everything he could to help her, yet she didn't know how to voice out how touched yet conflicted she felt.
