CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO: RUTHLESS
As Adrian arrived at the annual banquet, his mood was as dark as the storm clouds gathering overhead.
He had been brooding ever since he received the invitation, dreading the prospect of spending yet another evening surrounded by people who only sought to curry favor with him for their own gain.
As he stepped into the grand ballroom, Adrian’s sharp gaze swept over the crowd, his icy demeanor sending a clear message to anyone who dared to approach him – he had no interest in idle chatter or meaningless pleasantries.
But despite his best efforts to maintain his aloof façade, disaster struck in the form of a spilled glass of red wine, staining his crisp white shirt and tailored suit.
Adrian’s jaw clenched in frustration as he surveyed the damage, his mood darkening even further at the thought of having to endure the rest of the evening in stained clothing.
With a scowl of annoyance, Adrian made his way to the nearest restroom to assess the damage and attempt to salvage what was left
