"Sure, sir." The sales assistant took the necklace and processed the purchase.
Lilith was furious. She pointed at me and yelled, "Bastard! How dare you disobey me! You're just the Storm family's dog. If I tell you to buy something, you must buy it!"
Her obnoxiousness was overwhelming. I ignored her, paid for the necklace, and walked away without looking back.
Lilith was still shouting behind me. "I don't care if you have to borrow or take out a loan. You must buy it for me! Otherwise, you won't get away with this!"
The large square was bustling with people. Yet, she stood at the entrance of the jewelry store and shouted at me like a shrew.
Many onlookers turned to stare and whispered among themselves.
I frowned slightly and turned to leave. I didn't want to waste any more time on her.
Once I returned to the office, I sat down and started working on some documents. I had organized all the tasks that needed to be handed over on my computer.
