Chad was a little hesitant on the other end of the call. "Ms. Jakeman, the transfer of shares shouldn't be taken lightly…"
Wynnie replied coldly, "Prepare it according to what I said."
She hung up without giving him a chance to respond.
She turned around and dragged me upstairs. Then, she retrieved a velvet box from the bedside table in the bedroom.
I remembered that box. Our wedding rings were in it.
My face turned ashen when I saw the pair of rings.
Initially, I wore the ring on my finger. Unfortunately, my relationship with Wynnie became increasingly dull. It got to a point where she didn't even want to see me around.
Naturally, she didn't want others to discover our relationship. So, I tucked the ring away safe and sound.
Right before me, she put my ring back on my ring finger.
She then handed the other ring to me, signaling for me to put it on for her.
However, I didn't take it, even after a long while.
