Alec’s point of view.
Ever since my conversation with Suzanne, she'd been glaring at me as if I'd insulted her grandmother, but her vexation hardly registered on my radar. My attention remained firmly on Alana, and I couldn't help but smile. I knew I would have to tell her about Suzanne's advances soon, but I decided to wait until we were alone in the car. There was no need to add any stress to her already busy day, and besides, playing the role of the supportive, proud husband was not much of an act when it perfectly reflected my feelings and attitude.
A few scenes later, my phone vibrated in my pocket, signaling the start of the break. I excused myself to answer the call, and it was Killian on the line. He was back home, likely already immersed in wedding planning or something equally enthusiastic. Earlier in the day, he'd inundated me with blogs containing ideas for alternative bachelor party activities, completely shunning the old, traditional, and frankly distasteful traditions–
