Cordelia's phone was on speaker, and although the sound was not loud, Stella's voice was clear in the quiet space.
"If you're busy, you can go ahead. We're going to have a quick meeting when Benedict wakes up, and there's nothing you can do here to help with company matters anyway," Maisie walked over and put down the files in her hands, her tone brisk as if giving orders to a subordinate.
Cordelia murmured a few words into the phone before hanging up.
She glanced at Benedict, who had just fallen asleep, but decided not to wake him before leaving the room.
Cordelia's steps were quick. Stella had just told her on the phone that Thomas had fainted from staying up late for too long, and the situation seemed quite serious.
