Chapter 6 After All, We're Married PART 1

Benedict's muscular frame settled into the bathtub, and as he stretched out his legs, he felt something soft. Glancing down, all he saw was a tub full of bubbles, nothing else. His stern gaze narrowed slightly, and with a couple of nudges from his legs, he felt the soft, bouncy sensation again. Suddenly, a head popped up from the water! Droplets trickled down the pale face, long hair covering the woman's face, giving her an eerie, water-spirit appearance. "Ah?" Benedict's eyes widened, and he involuntarily gasped, almost stopping his heartbeat. Cordelia coughed, breathing heavily. She pushed her hair aside with small hands, realizing she had dozed off and nearly choked. When she saw Benedict, shirtless, sitting there, she screamed again, "Ah... When did you get in? Get out!" Benedict made no attempt to cover up. He snorted. "This is my house. Why should I leave? Why don't you leave?" Cordelia blushed, her eyelashes wet, her watery eyes captivating. She bit her thin lip and mumbled, "I... I don't have any clothes." Wasn't she usually shameless? Why was she shy now? Benedict squinted, remembering how Cordelia had silenced him earlier. Now was the perfect chance to tease her. His deep, sharp eyes gleamed like ice water soaked for thousands of years as he approached the petite figure in front of him. "Well, then, let's both stay. After all, we're married. Husband and wife can do anything, legally." Cordelia's clear eyes trembled like a startled deer. She wanted to hide, but the bathtub was too small, and she had no clothes on. There was nowhere to escape. "Don't come over, or I won't be polite to you!" Her soft voice and delicate figure made her as adorable as a kitten. Benedict approached. The woman's fair and delicate face was tinted with a blush. It was as if being a bit harsher would make her cry. He sneered. "Have you ever been polite to me?" The man's magnetic voice drew closer, and Cordelia's heart felt like it was about to leap out of her chest. Her blood reversed, and her mind went blank. Her voice quivered. "Ah, don't come any closer, jerk!" The woman's slender fists pounded the man's chest haphazardly. He grunted, not reacting in time, taking a few punches. Suddenly, he was pressed down, and his neck was pushed into the water. How could such a petite woman be so strong? Wasn't it negligence from the bodyguards that night, but instead, they were taken down by a woman? Was this woman good at fighting? When Benedict emerged from the water, the petite figure had already run out of the bathroom. In the dressing room, Cordelia, wearing a loose men's bathrobe, changed into casual pajamas, though the size didn't fit. Standing at 5 feet 2 inches, she was not tall, opting for an extra small size. After putting on the clothes, she dried her long, glossy black hair. The silky strands cascaded down her back, and her rosy, soft face beamed. She stepped out of the dressing room and saw Benedict emerging as well. Cordelia had taken his bathrobe, leaving him with just a towel wrapped around his waist. His well-defined abdominal muscles exuded a strong, masculine allure. Every inch of his body radiated the charm of a mature and healthy man... Benedict's icy black eyes glared at her, and she could almost feel a wave of anger boiling above his head. "Have you had enough of the view? Go get my pajamas," came Benedict's cold voice. Cordelia noticed the red marks she had left on his robust chest. Did she really hit him so hard? "Can't you get them yourself?" Benedict snorted, grinding his teeth as if he could only vent his frustration by devouring Cordelia. "What if my towel falls, and you start screaming again?" Only then did Cordelia realize he was still holding onto the towel around his waist. She swallowed hard. "Fine, I'll get them for you."
