Chapter

We arrived back safely to the palace at exactly 2:00 in the afternoon. "Thank you for letting me go on a date with you," Adam said after opening the car door for me. I went out with my left leg first before standing up beside him. "I'm glad I did." Our date made me realize things. He smiled softly and accompanied me into the palace. As soon as we entered the palace, I saw Edmond sitting on the couch that was laid at the middle of the two grand staircase like he was waiting for someone. "You can go now, I need to do something," I whispered to Adam. I watched his back as he retreated to leave before walking towards where Edmond is. He was watching me like a hawk, his eyes never leaving my face. "Edmond," I mumbled and stood right in front of him. "Where have you been?" He asked in a soft voice. Despite of his pale skin that contrasts his dark outfit and black hair and his red eyes and lips that could scare any people, I never felt scared of him. "We went to some small town," I answered.
