Chapter

The palace was a maze of halls; I didn't know which way to go and what path would lead me to the room where the King is. I didn't have the time to stop and think which way to turn to. The palace guards were fast and coming after me. For all I know, maybe they all had blocked the exits or had already thought of a plan to trap me in between them. I got nothing to help me run from them and find the King except for my speed, wit and senses. With my heightened senses, I could tell where the palace guards are located and which way to turn to that wouldn't end in a dead end. The palace's design is quite similar to our coven. Both of them had a classic and elegant design. The only difference is that this is much greater and obviously expensive. There were carefully sculpted columns in every corner and the entrance hall had a high ceiling with paintings drawn on it and magnificent lights hanging from it. It's where the royal hybrids live.
