His head moved upward, and shock is written on his face. I know that he's not expecting what I just said to him. He's clearly not expecting all the things that I would tell him. Still, I had to tell him. He had to know the truth about everything.
"I grew up thinking that I was a werewolf," I continued, ignoring his shock gaze. "I was the daughter of the beta of our pack. It turned out that I was adopted. My parents saw me in the woods when I was a baby."
