Brianna’s POV
“Is there something wrong?” Rogue asked while he’s driving his car.
He’s sending me home tonight after our dinner. I glanced at him and slowly shook my head. I bit my bottom lip and squeezed my eyes closed. I kept on thinking about what Levi said to me this morning. It bothers me so much. What if Uncle Aiden is planning something to make me weak so he’d finally find the chance to get what he wanted? He wants my position. Uncle Aiden may not be a criminal but he’s greedy. He’ll probably use my heart to weaken me.
“Brianna, you’re making me worried.”
I blinked thrice and looked around. Rogue stopped the car in an empty lot and looked at me with a worried face. “Tell me what is it? Is it about my parents? Babe, I’m not forcing you to meet them.”
“No. It’s not it.”
“Then, what’s the problem? I’m worried.”
I sighed and chewed my bottom lip. “My family wasn’t perfect…”
He nodded and gently held my hand. His affectionate eyes were focused on me and it’s making me more emotional.
