It had been several days since Ares left, but I hadn’t heard anything from the frontline.
Although I knew the news wouldn’t travel fast, he must have gone through the first battle by now.
While I was worried about Ares, Mars came to see me out of the blue.
“It’s almost the night of the full moon, Lady Aimee, and I haven’t made any progress on your blood sample. I guess we’ll have to resort to plan B.”

“What’s wrong, Lady Aimee?”
“Ares went to battle the werewolves in the West three days ago.”

Mars widened his eyes in a panic.
“What do we do now? Even if we set out now, we won’t get there in time.”
