After the near-miss, he didn’t think to apologize. Instead, he said something that didn’t sit well with me.
If Ares hadn’t controlled Snowflake, I would’ve suffered a tragic fate.
Still, Ares was impressive to have jumped onto the horse’s back. He was indeed the most courageous werewolf.
“I think you should apologize for your behavior, sir.”
I was furious, but the person in front of me shrugged nonchalantly.
“So what? The Great Ares has your back. How would you get hurt?”
“You’re impossible. Just because I’m not injured doesn’t mean you didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Even if I apologize, what’s done is done. What’s the point of an apology?”
The person smiled pretentiously at me with no intention of apologizing. In fact, he gave me a defiant look, maybe because Ares was behind me.
I was at a loss for words, frustrated that I couldn’t win him over the argument.

“Don’t bother with his type, Aimee. Let’s go there.”
