Thank goodness Cynthia closed the window for me because there had been a heavy downpour since the wee hours.
When I woke up in the morning, the rain showed no signs of stopping. In fact, it only rained heavier.
By the time I went downstairs, Ares was halfway through his breakfast.
“It’s raining, Aimee. We might not be able to go horse riding today.”
I nodded my head. Even if we could go horse riding, I had lost interest in going out because it was raining heavily.
Seeing that I wasn’t in the mood, Ares put down his utensil and comforted me.
“We can go out once the rain stops. After all, I promised you.”
I realized that he thought I was unhappy about not being able to go horseback riding because of the rain.
However, that was not the case.
