The light in the living room was off, and she did not intend to turn it on since she would return to the room after the phone call.   The moonlight shone through the French windows onto the floor. She walked over slowly.   When she saw a tall figure in the shade, it scared the daylights out of her, and the cell phone in her hand slipped and fell to the floor.   “Do you have to be so scared?” Mark’s voice came as he bent over to pick up the phone from the ground.   Grace, who was on the other end of the phone, heard a male voice and got excited.
