That night, after Myles Jennings and Annie Lane had shared an intimate time, Annie laid in his arms tiredly. She muttered, “Myles, I want to start a business.” Annie’s voice was soft and gentle. She wanted to discuss it with him since she was not sure if he would support her. “Okay.” She had not expected Myles to agree to her so quickly. He leaned in and planted a kiss on her forehead. “Really? You agree?” Annie lifted her head excitedly, and her twinkling eyes met his. The distance between them was so close that their breaths intertwined with each other. Myles stroked Annie’s head in amusement. He propped himself up with some pillows and embraced her as they lay on the bed, enjoying the rare moment of peace. “This… I haven’t decided yet. I’m pretty much useless in anything other than what I majored in…” Annie had graduated as an accounting major and had worked in the accounting industry ever since.
