Kai’s POV
When I find out that North Academy has been closed indefinitely, I know I have to look for Sara. I need to know where she is.
I wish I’d never left the school. It was my parents’ idea to bring me back home even though I was recovering well in the infirmary. I didn’t even get a chance to see her before I left. And now, I can’t go back to campus.
On the third day after I get back home, I’ve recovered enough to move around. Which is why I’m going looking for her, asap.
First, I call Christian. He should know where she was transferred to. Unfortunately, his phone is off.
Good thing River’s End is only half an hour away. I get my bike and out of the house without running into my mother–thank God, because she’d try to keep me in the house and I’m not in the mood to argue.
I’ve been good enough for the past three days, taking my medicine and lying around while they drill me about that night. There wasn’t much to say about it.
