Sophia prepared a feast for me after my surgery. She told me that I needed nourishment after the operation, so she made me some chicken noodle soup and baked salmon.
I ate to the point that I was so stuffed, and my face was glowing with happiness.
George even intentionally bought me a set of new clothes. He said that I should look energetic on the day I was discharged to embrace a new chapter of my life.
Two weeks later, an uninvited visitor came to my ward.
It was Abigail. She walked in carrying flowers and fruits, and she looked very pale.
Sophia was peeling an apple for me. When she saw Abigail, she glanced at her coldly and didn't talk to her.
I didn't even bother to glance up at her. I just calmly flipped through the magazine in my hand.
"Samuel, I brought you some fruits."
Abigail took a deep breath and walked up to me, trying to put the fruits and flowers on the bedside table.
I sneered. "Take your flowers away. Have you forgotten that I'm allergic to pollen?"
