Chapter 255 Peril in the Mountains
The little creature was surprisingly well-behaved, allowing me to handle it without a hint of fear or aggression. It just blinked its eyes, staring at me intently. I chuckled and shook my head, bringing it back to the room.
After some hesitation, I placed it on the bedside and whispered, "Stay put here, don't wander around. If you get captured by wild animals or people, I might not be able to save you."
The flying squirrel made a squeaky sound in response. I lay down slowly, relaxed my body, and drifted back into slumber.
When I opened my eyes again, the daylight had already graced the outside world. Rubbing my eyes, I got out of bed, feeling something on my shoulder.
The remaining drowsiness instantly dissipated as I turned my head alertly to find the flying squirrel. I was momentarily stunned, then relaxed my guard.
Helplessly smiling, I walked out of the room. It was still early, with only one or two early risers. I greeted those who were already awake and quickly freshene
