"I don't know what he is yet," I said nervously.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"If he's going to be like me or like his true father," I clarified.
Cressida blinked. "Baron is his true father," she said. "The one who impregnated you was nothing more than a donor. He did not hold your hand while you pushed. He did not feed you when you were pregnant. He did not care for you. These things are what determine whether or not someone is the true father of a child. Moreover, the one who merely donated his seed did not bond with the child. He did not love him as his father."
