Chapter 433: Seized Within
Frederick
Frederick had always believed he had terrible luck. He was always the one called out for every sort of misbehavior in his class at the Academy when he was younger. He remembered one time when he was in class with Stefano and Darius. Darius, though a year younger, was in his class—a privilege, Frederick thought bitterly. He hadn’t been the one to start the trouble; it had been that knuckle-headed boy, Marvin. Frederick even hated the name Marvin. But, for the sake of propriety, Marvin’s parents were wealthy and very close to Darius' parents.
Marvin was the first to pass a piece of paper, and then Darius passed his own note back. Stefano stayed silent until he too was pulled into the mix when a piece of paper landed on his desk.
“Hey,” Darius said from behind Frederick, nudging the paper forward. “Pass this to him.”
Frederick took the paper and, just as he was about to hand it to the kid in front of him, the teacher threw a piece of chalk, hitting him square on the head.
