“Roderick,” Amelia mused, a small smile touching her lips. “He’s probably enjoying the position more than he lets on.”
“Maybe. The last time I checked, you were the one who told me to call him. I had barely been here for years, and you said he was trustworthy.” Amelia threw up her arms. “I know what I said. But does this mean anything? Still, a number of things have obviously dawned on me, and I'm no longer the same person I was when we left this place. I mean, come on, seriously, cousin. You should at least think about these things.” She began playing with one of the tiny locks of hair that had escaped from the braid she had locked it in. He simply could not argue with her on this one, he thought to himself.
