My mind was clouded with dizzy spells, each one threatening to fling me to the floor. If not for Baron catching me several times, I would’ve crumbled in a heap, without a shred of elegance left.
“Are you all right?” Morgana asked, her eyes filled with concern. She stood with her arms crossed over her chest, not exactly looking good herself. “You look... well, for lack of a better word, terrible.” She panted heavily, leaning on a magical staff that I hadn’t seen before. A large blue stone sat at the top, held in place by a spiral holder as if it were crafted from wood. It *was* made of wood, I realized.
“You look like you’ve seen better days,” I mumbled. “If anything, you look worse than when you left. Do you think you should have stayed away?”
She shook her head, her mouth opening slowly. “What did Lucia tell you?” she asked softly.
“Well, that you were able to completely shut down the power beneath the city,” I noted slowly.
“I’ll have a conversation with her,” she mutter
