The salty breeze of the sea stung Baron’s face as the ship cut through the waves. His eyes were fixed on the horizon, where the distant landmass of Blood Moon began to take shape against the darkening sky. It had been three weeks since they set sail, and the previous week, they had weathered a fierce storm that delayed them by nearly half an hour. Harpies had tried to attack the fleet several times but only managed to scratch the last few ships in the convoy. The fleet was 40 ships strong, with many smaller vessels flanking the sides, though Baron hadn't bothered to count those. The smaller ships carried supplies and, despite their size, moved almost as quickly as the larger ones.
Eventually, the harpies shifted their focus to the smaller ships, but it was pointless. Most of his warriors were fierce, swatting the creatures from the sky and killing several of them in the process.
