"My King."
Atlan’s focus wasn’t interrupted. After all, he had been deep in thought, combing through the archives, trying to find exactly how to breach that damned tower.
"There’s something you need to know."
He raised his eyes to see Hendrickson, arms crossed behind his back, his ever-loyal head warrior.
“Well," Atlan said, tapping his chin. "Let me guess. A meteor has fallen from the sky?"
Hendrickson shook his head, his expression serious. "Now is not the time for jokes, my liege. This is serious."
Hendrickson had always been the one to pour cold water on Atlan’s rare attempts at humor. It wasn’t as though Atlan considered himself comic relief, he just liked to see the lighter side of things from time to time. Unfortunately, Hendrickson didn’t share his sense of humor.
"Dark news, sire," Hendrickson continued. "I don’t know what madness they have in mind, but after the meeting with Baron and the others, it seems they have a bright idea to reclaim their tower."
