He had seen the priestess before. He had seen her 8 years ago. In truth, he knew she was partly the source of Talia's anxiety over the years. With each passing year, Talia had grown more and more anxious. "The priestess is here for a reason," she had said once. "I need to find out why," she had added, causing him a bit of heart palpitations as he hoped she wouldn’t hear it. And truth be told, Talia didn’t. That day, she had simply continued pacing the length of her office, which she had requested so absolutely.
"Are you listening?" Talia's voice cut through his thoughts. He was in trouble, he thought to himself. "Yes," he said out loud, lying through his teeth. "Good, all right. Wonderful."
That was Bane’s cue to speak. As soon as Bane opened his mouth, however, he was cut off. "I want to know," he said, holding his arms across his chest and meeting the eyes of his beta.
"What do you want to know about?" Gabriel asked, lowering his tablet.
"I want to know about Blood Moon,"
