Cowardice was not something Celine's mother had taught her, so running away from the battle—with Agatha being the one to pull her—did nothing but burn her inside. “I am not weak,” Celine said like a mantra from a broken record. Despite the fighting raging around them, she was sure they were going to be victorious. She didn't think that treachery would somehow get help from her sister's mate.
“When did Talia become such a threat?” This was not the same Omega she was assured of, with Darius telling her that Talia was of no consequence. “No consequence indeed,” she grumbled harshly as Agatha thrust her into the waiting Jeep, ready to take them to safety.
“I don’t need safety,” Celine said out loud. “I need my revenge.” She looked at Agatha, who had turned on the engine. “Yes, Agatha, you know no one can gainsay it.”
