664: UNBELIEVABLE
ARIEL'S POV
I was caught off-guard by Andre's unexpected gesture, and I quickly pulled my hand away, trying to regain my composure.
Andre kissed my hand, which was really surprising. Not surprising because I knew about his feelings. But I clearly told him not to do this or something related to it. He was breaking the rules.
"Andre, what was that for?" I asked, trying to sound stern.
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself," he replied apologetically. "But you're right; I shouldn't have crossed the line. Let's just enjoy our dinner and keep things platonic."
I nodded in agreement, feeling a bit relieved that Andre was willing to respect my boundaries. But I still felt kind of awkward about the whole situation.
We began to eat, and I tried to steer the conversation back to safer topics, like work and hobbies. But I couldn't shake the feeling that this tension between us was still revolving around.
After a few minutes of small talk, Andre took a deep breath and spoke up.
