LOGAN.
My phone chimed causing my focus to drift away from the painting I was working on. I placed my brush on the palette and slipped my phone out of my pocket.
“Yes,” I answered the call.
“Everything is ready just like you asked,” she said and I smiled.
“Good, I'll drop by tonight.”
“We’ll be expecting you, Mr. Logan,” she replied and then I hung up.
I exhaled deeply as I turned to the transparent wall to my right. It gave the perfect view of the sunlight and lake. Looking at it made me recall the first time we had moved into this house. The lakeside had instantly become Amy’s favorite place in our dream home. It's been six months since we moved away from the Pack, six beautiful months living with her. My smile deepened as I left the studio. I came out into the living room painted in white and my heart skipped a bit as Amy rewarded me with a glare instantly.
