LOGAN.
“I don’t want to be your Luna anymore. Let’s call it quits.”
Tears blurred my vision immediately and I felt it to the core. That thin line that was barely holding us together had finally snapped. I felt cold chills haunt me down my spine, my skin shuddered in fear while my heart pumped so hard that I feared it might explode. I looked at my mother and she just gave me that deadpan look that screamed ‘I told you so’. What I feared the most was finally happening and it did more damage than I thought. I had finally seen the light the hard way. All this while I thought I was shielding my mate but I was wrong, I was being selfish and heartless. My mother’s words, Oliver and Simon's, started to echo in my head.
“You’re right,” I mumbled. “I failed you as your mate.”
She gasped while tears streamed down her cheeks. “Is that all you’re going to say? Are you really this dumb? Doesn’t even a slightest part of you yearn to be with me?”
