"Would I get discharged soon?" I asked the nurse who entered my ward.
After checking my condition, she said, 'You'll have to ask Dr. Sanders about that. She's your attending physician, so you can leave when she says so."
"Can you please call Dr. Sanders for me?" I added.
The nurse nodded. "Sure. Just wait a moment."

"You want to be discharged?" she asked.
