The message was from Zoe.
At the hospital, my former chief physician and Zoe were sitting across from each other and talking.
"Dr. Sanders, did you call me here because there's new information about the surgery?"
She glanced at me and handed me a document. "This is a form I received from a foreign expert after our consultation. You'll need to sign it if you decide to proceed with the surgery."
