Kimberly’s mind raced as she made her way to the café where she was to meet Jasmine. The weight of the documents she had found in her bag pressed heavily on her conscience, and the betrayal stung deeply. When she arrived, she saw Jasmine already seated, her expression unreadable. Kimberly took a deep breath and approached the table, her heart pounding.
“Kimberly,” Jasmine greeted her with a forced smile as she sat down. “I need to talk to you.” Kimberly crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing.
