Linda watched Samuel's back as he walked away and could only shake her head in helpless silence.
Kylie didn't wake up until after 9:00 am the following day.
"I remember getting into the car to go to the hospital. How did I end up here?" she asked a housekeeper, confused.
"You fell asleep before we even left the villa," the housekeeper replied.
"I see. That's all. You can go now."
Kylie didn't think much of it, assuming that she'd just been too exhausted. After a full night's rest, she felt noticeably more refreshed.
She glanced around the spacious guest room, took a deep breath, and then walked over to the corner where her suitcase sat.
She began packing her things, and not a single item Samuel had bought her made it into the bag.
Kylie had made up her mind—if she was cutting ties, staying at Hythe Villa made no sense.
As she wheeled the suitcase out, she suddenly stopped in surprise when she saw Samuel sitting in the living room, reading the paper.
