"You think I did it?" Samuel's eyes narrowed dangerously.
Kylie stared him down without flinching. "Is there anyone in Seaville that you can't get information on?"
"I'm a human, not a god," Samuel said. "If I were all-seeing and all-knowing, my grandfather wouldn't have gotten sick, and you wouldn't have had the chance to force me into a marriage."
Kylie let out a cold, scornful laugh, and Samuel's expression darkened even more.
"Your grandfather's illness was an accident. Me forcing you into this marriage was opportunistic, sure. But none of that compares to a man getting beaten half to death and then dying in prison," Kylie sharply said.
"I'm the one who beat him." Samuel admitted without hesitation. He didn't even attempt to deny it.
There was no point hiding it—Kylie would've found out anyway. He'd visited Dominic just hours ago too. It wasn't exactly a secret.
