Wyatt let out a dry chuckle. The Lovelaces' so-called servants were acting more like prison guards.
"Move faster," one of them snapped, glancing back with a cold glare.
Wyatt said nothing, but Cole narrowed his eyes. "Mr. Coleman, something's off," he muttered under his breath.
Wyatt's gaze flickered as he studied the two men walking ahead. Their posture was too rigid, their movements too controlled.
They weren't just leading them somewhere. They were herding them.
"Let's see where this goes," Wyatt murmured, watching the two men closely.
Surhan kept his guard up, his sharp gaze scanning their surroundings.
The deeper they went, the quieter it got. The hallways became narrower, the lighting dimmer. Eventually, they turned down a long corridor leading to a deserted area of the Lovelace residence.
Not a single soul in sight.
Surhan's gut twisted. His hand instinctively gripped the hilt of his weapon as he stepped slightly in front of Wyatt, shielding him.
