Chapter 75: Behind the Hidden Door
Olivera’s POV:
The ring on the table seemed to beckon to me, its simplicity captivating in a way I couldn’t quite understand. As I picked it up, its cold weight settled into my palm, and I marveled at the small, glittering red orb embedded in its center. Upon closer inspection, I noticed intricate carvings on the inside of the band—strange, cryptic symbols that made no sense to me.
_What is it with all these strange writings? And why isn’t any of it in English?_ I thought, shaking my head. Everything I had seen in this room so far—from the carvings on the door to the scattered papers—was in a language I couldn’t understand, and it was starting to give me a headache. Maybe I should head to the library. Surely, there had to be something there in English, something that would give me answers.
I placed the ring back on the table and turned to face the mess of papers strewn across it. Some were covered in drawings, others filled with more of that indecipherable writing. I sighed deeply,
