Chapter 183: The Unyielding Strength
Zendedari delved into his memories, striving to recall the moment Enoch had brought Raven into their world. The urgency of that time was palpable; Enoch had acted swiftly and without Raven’s prior knowledge or consent, driven by the need to save her life. None of them could have foreseen the outcome, and Raven had been thrust into a reality she had not chosen.
A faint sound snapped Zendedari out of his reverie. He turned sharply to find Kendalf staggering away from Raven’s side. Caitlin had collapsed next to Raven, her body slumped in exhaustion. Both healers looked utterly spent, their vitality sapped by the demanding task they had undertaken.
“You’ve overextended yourself,” Zendedari said, his voice carrying a note of concern. “Raven needed too much from you.”
Kendalf, too fatigued to move, lay sprawled on the floor. He covered his eyes with an arm, seeking refuge from the dim light filtering through the cabin’s windows. “She needed it,” he replied, his tone heavy with weariness.
