I stagger back from the edge of the broken wall, at a complete loss on what to do. I just keep looking into the distance, watching the bushes rustle as Kiernan passes through them.
I know I should follow him. I know I shouldn’t let him escape. A strong urge to jump from this distance and get to him is overwhelming me right now.
