Chapter 21 Departure
Tia was escorted to a grand manor.
At the heart of the manor was a vast garden, atop which was a quaint loft. A white round table was set up there. Breton was seated leisurely, sipping his tea.
"Sir, Ms. Tia has arrived," announced the man who had escorted Tia while addressing Breton with respect.
With a dismissive wave of his hand, Breton signaled the man to leave.
An unexplainable sense of pressure washed over Tia.
Breton, a man of immense power and influence, radiated an intimidating aura.
Breton's gaze swept over Tia's face before he spoke, "Ms. Tia, it's been a while."
Tia responded with confusion, "I apologize, Mr. Breton, but I believe we haven't formally met before."
If their brief encounter at the mansion was considered a meeting, it seemed rather rushed.
However, Breton was referring to a different occasion.
