It was already dark when Carlos's car pulled up in front of Miriam's residence. She was outside taking out her laundry from the lines to take inside the house when he briskly got out of the car before running in her direction. "Miriam?" He called as she turned to stare at him with a scowl masked on her face. She carried the basket of clothes to leave but he was fast to stop her. "Miriam, I know that my mother had spoken to you!" He said as she stood stagnant while staring at him. "You know what Carlos? I can't believe that you still haven't told her about us." Miriam spoke. "I'm sorry!" He simply said. "I seriously understand why you did that, I know that your mother doesn't like or approve of me.
