Dante’s POV
Stepping outside into the parking, I shifted and laid on the ground so Angel could get on my back. “I know you’re going to run a lot faster than last night. I’m not going to fly off or anything right?” she asked, her lips pursed in concern.
Not if you hold on tight. Quinn will make sure that doesn’t happen, though, I assured her.
She wrapped her arms around my neck, and gripped my sides with her legs as I took off into the woods. Thankfully, Quinn was more in control because I was extremely distracted. Thoughts raced through my mind, each more troubling than the last. What could’ve happened to Jalen and our warriors? Was it David or Jett and his rogues that attacked them?
